It seems a fairly obvious connotation, building and bricks, but one doesn't often realise that there are many different types of building brick and they are often suited best for specific types of building.
When planning a building there are a whole lot of aspects to consider, like:
- Size of the building
- Purpose of the building
- Overall look of the building
- Budget
- What kind of finish will the building have? In other words will it be plastered or will the bare brick be visible ( making facebrick another option)
So the choice of building brick has a large part to play in the final product.
The growth of the South African economy has led to a larger number of people flocking to the cities. This massive increase in the general population of our cities has led to the need for cost effective housing. The demand for building bricks has increased accordingly.
Places like Rustenburg, that were previously considered rural, or too far from the hub to impact on the economy directly have increasingly become major contenders in all arenas and as a result the populations have risen as more people find economic viability in their areas. less people are moving to the cities and so the need for housing and business space is on the increase in these areas that were all but abandoned in the past. The proximity of our plant to Rustenburg and the rural settlements puts us in the prime position to supply any new developments with the required building materials.
Our brick production includes:
- Clay bricks
- Cement Bricks
- Maxi Bricks
While each brick offers its own set of benefits and qualities, all of the bricks manufactured and supplied by Unicorn Bricks adhere to the strictest SABS and ISO standards and quality measures.
