IFA (Pty) Ltd was established in 2011 to become one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers for all ducts/piping in the Telecommunication Industry. South Africa has access to the fastest and most networked undersea fibre optic cabling via “Seacom” linking the country to Europe and Asia and beyond. With the commissioning of new licensed operators for network infrastructures in the Telecommunication Industry, the demand was created for broadband services in South Africa and Africa. Fibre optic networks was developed to transmit huge quantities of data at higher speeds than any other medium to fullfil this increased demand for broadband services in the telecommunications industry. Outside service provider work is becoming a central focus for the demand in the industry as there is unfortunately a disconnect between land and inland infrastructure. IFA therefore wants to ensure they are a leading supplier of ducts in the industry that is critical for these service providers. The operations of the company therefore primary focus on the manufacturing and supply of a wide range of HDPE ducts.
